Tottenham Hotspur vs. Watford Predictions, Betting Tips and Match Preview

Iconsport

Tottenham face Watford on Monday night, nine days after losing to Manchester United at Wembley in the FA Cup semi-final. Spurs must find some form if they’re to stay in the top four and qualify for next season’s Champions League.

It’s a worrying time for Mauricio Pochettino, whose side have dropped five points recently against Premier League winners Manchester City and Brighton. They’ll be confident of beating Watford though, who’ve picked up just two points from their last six games. It’s now three games since Spurs last won a game, when they played away at Stoke on 7th April. They won 2-1 on that day, with goals coming from Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane. The latter has looked very tired in recent weeks, which will now be a worry for Gareth Southgate and England ahead of this summer’s World Cup.

Watford, meanwhile, are without a win in any of their last six Premier League games, with just two draws, coming against Crystal Palace and Bournemouth. They’ve had narrow defeats to Huddersfield and Burnley in April, while their recent record has also seen heavy losses to both Liverpool and Arsenal. They haven’t won since 3rd March, when they beat West Bromwich Albion 1-0 at Vicarage Road and they could drop to 14th in the Premier League table if results don’t go their way come kick-off on Monday. Relegation is unlikely though, as they currently have 38 points, nine clear of Southampton in 18th with three games of the season remaining.

Tottenham vs. Watford Predictions

Watford will have their work cut out and Wembley and there’s almost certainly a sense that they’ll have a new manager at the end of the season, as that’s the way the club operates. Spurs desperately need to find some form and they’re very fortunate that they’ve come up against a team who are in a rut. Spurs should win this game, and if they play well, they should score quite a few goals. They’ve conceded a lot recently, so Watford will back themselves to score a goal.
