Premier League football is back and to kick everything off is a mouthwatering clash between two giants of English football, who go head-to-head at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday evening (kick off 8.15pm)
With the title all but certain to go to Liverpool, City will want to finish the season on a high and cement second place in the Premier League. With a cloud hanging over them in regard to their participation in the Champions League for next season, Pep Guardiola’s men will be determined to end this campaign on a really positive note.
Arsenal have endured another season in transition but Mikel Arteta has had a mildly encouraging start as Gunners manager and he returns to the Etihad for the first time since leaving as Guardiola’s assistant.
Whatever happens, Wednesday promises a lot of goals in what should be an entertaining clash between two of the Premier League’s most entertaining teams.
Manchester City v Arsenal Predictions
There may be a lack of fans in attendance but that shouldn’t stop this from being an absolute humdinger of a game. City have such potency in attack and two of the best strikers in the division will be on show in this game; Sergio Aguero and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Aguero is a Premier League legend as is the highest scoring overseas player in the league’s history. With the plethora of attacking intent that City have at their disposal, they will be licking their lips at the prospect of facing Arsenal’s jittery defence.
Aubameyang is Arsenal’s main man and they will be hoping he has his shooting boots on. With a lot on his shoulders, it is hoped that the likes of club-record signing, Nicolas Pepe, will step up to the plate.
There should be goals in this game but back City for a comfortable win at home.
