Yet another humdinger of a Champions League tie, and one of only two this weekend not to involve English sides.
Juventus take on Lyon for a place in the Champions League quarter-finals next week and it should be an intriguing affair between two sides full of flair who like to score goals.
This tie is tantalisingly poised after the first leg, which Lyon won 1-0 thanks to a goal from Lucas Tousart. By all accounts, Juventus were very poor on the night but Lyon are a very good team in their own right.
The Old Lady of Turin have a Champions League pedigree to rival the very best sides and with a team full of stars, they will expect to play better than they did in France.
With the second leg being played at home, Juve will hope to go back to the form that saw them secure the Serie A title by a single point from Inter Milan.
With all that in mind, it should be a fantastic game on Friday evening (kick off 8pm).
Juventus vs Lyon Predictions
One thing that we can predict is we are sure these two sides will serve up a real treat for us on Friday evening when they lock horns at the Allianz Stadium.
If Lyon replicate their Ligue 1 form from last season, then they won’t stand much of a chance on paper. They finished a very disappointing seventh place, ruling them out of the Champions League next season. The only way they can quality is if they win it.
Juventus have talent in abundance but were very poor in the first leg. A team like Lyon can pick apart anyone on their day and on that particular day, they were very good.
However, Juventus have so much knowhow and experience at this level. They have the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo to call upon and they look set to turn around that one goal deficit and swing the match back in their favour.
We think Juventus will make it to the quarters and make light work of Lyon in the process.
