So it has come to this! The Europa League final is upon us and after a gruelling campaign, stretching back as far as July 2019, Sevilla and Inter Milan are the two last sides standing when they meet on Friday night (kick off 8pm).
Both teams have a real affinity with European competitions and Sevilla, especially, seem to always peak in time for the Europa League.
They have quality all the way through their squad, with a youthful backline, led brilliantly by Diego Carlos, all the way through to a more experienced midfield and strikeforce.
Sevilla have been excellent all the way through the competition but their semi-final win against an in-form Manchester United really stands out.
Granted they may have rode their luck at times, but they played with real spirit and eventually saw of the challenge of the English side with a hard-fought victory.
Inter’s route to the final may have been slightly easier but not many would have envisaged their 5-0 demolition of Shakhtar Donetsk in the last four. Antonio Conte’s side blew away their opponents and this is all set to be a cracking final between two of Europe’s big hitters.

As we said before, both these teams have really earned the right to be in the final. Both ooze quality through the squad but they have that steely underbelly that gets teams far in European competitions.
The Spanish side had a decent La Liga campaign but the Europa League is where they always have a realistic chance of progressing very far.
The likes of Carlos, Ever Banega and Lucas Ocampos would get into most top European sides and their display against United suggests that. However, this is arguably their toughest test and why wouldn’t it be with it being the final!
Inter Milan are managed expertly by Conte and they have a real dynasty in Europe to hold on to. Their performance in the semi-final was world-class and in Romelu Lukaku, he has a striker capable of scoring against anyone.
This should be a fascinating clash against two sides with real knowhow but we think the Italians will just about edge this one.
