The Premier League fixtures are coming thick and fast now in the run-up to Christmas and this weekend provides a real cracker as Chelsea take on Tottenham at Stamford Bridge on Sunday (kick off 4.30pm).
Both sides have been in a rich vein of form lately, with Spurs top and Chelsea third in the Premier League. These pair of London giants are racking up the victories with flair, grit and no little determination.
The Blues had a mixed start this season but Frank Lampard has his side on a roll. The influence of Hakim Ziyech since his return from injury has been massive and the defence looks a settled outfit.
Spurs have been a lot more solid since their dramatic 3-3 draw against West Ham. Jose Mourinho has gone back to basics, with a counter-attacking style that proved too much for Man City last time out.
With Mourinho going back to his old stomping ground, there could be plenty of fireworks and this London derby should be pure theatre!
Chelsea vs Tottenham Hotspur Predictions 29/11/20
This fixture always throws up some classic encounters and Sunday is likely to be no different as the two teams go head-to-head once again.
Lampard has done an excellent job in just his second managerial role, after being in the hotseat at Derby County. The Blues legend has improved the squad over the close season and has his outfit in superb form.
The likes of Timo Werner and Kai Havertz are coming to terms with the rigours of the Premier League and new goalkeeper Edouard Mendy looks an inspired signing.
Spurs, meanwhile, have been heavily reliant on the brilliance of Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son as they have reached the summit of the Premier League.
Those two players have arguably been the players of the season so far. With Mourinho setting up his side in masterful fashion to beat City last weekend, have no doubt that the Portuguese has another tactical masterclass up his sleeve.
However, with both sides going well, it is hard to split them so the draw is the prudent bet.
