Manchester City to beat Tottenham – 10/21 (1.47)
The first of this season’s domestic cup finals kicks off on Sunday as Manchester City and Spurs face each other at Wembley in the Carabao Cup. City have been brilliant this season. Their hopes of a quadruple were crushed by Chelsea in the FA Cup last weekend but they will be determined to keep the dreams of a treble close to their hearts. With Harry Kane likely to be missing for Spurs, they could face a long afternoon against a rampant City.
Liverpool to beat Newcastle – 5/19 (1.26)
Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool may not be able to retain their Premier League title but they are still firmly in the race for those coveted Champions League spots. The Reds have had a pretty tumultuous week off the pitch but can get their Champions League aspirations back on track. Newcastle gave themselves a great chance of survival by beating West Ham last weekend but they struggled against 10 men for the majority of the second half and this is a different proposition.
Brighton to beat Sheffield United – 20/27 (1.74)
The Seagulls have had some very creditable results lately, including a 0-0 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge this week. They have no problem keeping clean sheets but their issue is scoring goals at the other end of the pitch. They face a Sheffield United side who have already been relegated after a two-year stay at the top level. The Blades don’t have a lot to play for and Brighton could well be the bet of the weekend as they look to secure their Premier League status for another season.
Leicester to beat Crystal Palace – 10/23 (1.43)
The Foxes have had a tremendous season under Brendan Rodgers and reached the FA Cup final last weekend after beating Southampton. They still have a great chance of qualifying for the Champions League next season and they will want to keep the pressure on those teams around them. Their opponents this weekend, Crystal Palace, are sat comfortably in mid-table and their performances lately suggest a team going through the motions. Expect an easy Leicester win.
Barnsley to beat Rotherham – 20/27 (1.74)
These are two teams only a few miles apart geographically but both have very different objectives this season. Barnsley are the Championship’s surprise package and have almost sealed a play-off place whilst Rotherham are battling to avoid the drop. The Tykes are on a great run and have threats all over the park whilst the Millers are suffering with a gruelling schedule. Barnsley are ready to hit a nail into Rotherham’s coffin and have a crack at the lottery of the play-offs.
Watford to beat Millwall – 1/2 (1.50)
The Hornets have been superb at Vicarage Road this season, possessing the best home record in the division. They had a magnificent result earlier this week as they beat Norwich 1-0 at Carrow Road and now have their sights set on catching their rivals and winning the Championship title. They face a Millwall side who are hard to beat but don’t have anything to play for except pride. Watford should be able to secure a win and step closer to the Premier League.
Sunderland to beat Accrington – 4/9 (1.44)
The Black Cats have spent far too long in League One but this season could be the one where they finally get promoted. Their form has been impressive under Lee Johnson and they look to have that winning mentality back at the Stadium of Light. They face an Accrington side who had a great start to the season but have gone right off the boil. This should be easy pickings for Sunderland as they look to finish the season strongly.
Cheltenham Town to beat Colchester – 10/17 (1.58)
Cheltenham have had an amazing season, sitting in second in League Two with aspirations for the title. They face a Colchester side who have saved themselves from relegation after a poor season at the wrong end of the division. The Robins come into this game in very good form and to keep pressure on Cambridge at the top, they need to win this. We think they will comfortably do so.
