Our expert tipster at NetBet has cast their eye over another exciting weekend of Premier League Fixtures as the top and bottom portions of the table begin to take shape. He’s picked some of the best bets available on NetBet Sport football odds page.
Chelsea to draw with Man City – 43/20
Chelsea have no reason to fear Manchester City this weekend, having just last week put their conquerors Spurs to the sword away from home. The hosts have put Aston Villa, Arsenal and Crystal Palace to the sword already, and drew with Liverpool in their only Premier League game that wasn’t a win so far. And Man City have struggled to make a huge impact yet in their five games, winning three, drawing one and of course losing the opener against Tottenham. Our NetBet win probability counter has this one as an almost dead even clash, with Chelsea slightly favoured at 36% and Man City at 35%, with a draw also pretty close at 29%. We just can’t split them
Man United to beat Aston Villa – 10/27
In an accumulator, this actually isn’t the worst price going. Manchester United will have very real Premier League title ambitions this year, and if they want to build on their decent start, they’ll need to be beating the banana peel teams like Aston Villa at home. This won’t be as easy as the odds seem to be indicating for Ole’s men, but given what they have shown us thus far, it’s hard to imagine that they’ll be held to a draw. The vital move for Villa is closing down Ronaldo, who while not performing at his vintage best, is still a goalscoring machine.
Everton to beat Norwich – 4/6
Poor Norwich haven’t even looked all that bad this season, but they are really struggling for results. They just lost 3-0 to Liverpool in the EFL Cup, having been beaten by Watford last time out in the Premier League. It’s really difficult to make the step up to the Premier League, which is a lesson they are learning the hard way and based on all of the evidence thus far, we can’t see them turning it around this weekend. This is going to be a good game, we’re sure, but hard to bet against any of Norwich’s opponents this season.
Watford to draw with Newcastle – 23/10
Watford got a big win last weekend against Norwich, and they’ll be brimming with confidence when Newcastle arrive at Carrow Road this weekend. It’s time for Newcastle to step up now, and they’ll also be feeling that a result here is a necessity, so this could end up being one of the more exciting games of the weekend. The Toon got a decent draw with Leeds last weekend, which may be what they need to kick start their season, but we’re going to go for a draw in this one because it’s too hard to pick the winner.
West Ham to beat Leeds – 5/4
You’re looking at two teams this season who have ultimately flattered to deceive. West Ham have a European-standard team, but they don’t have the results thus far to show for it. Leeds may be a level below that, but they haven’t managed to get many big results either, so they’ll be hoping that they can give the Elland Road faithful something special this time around. To do that, they’ll have to hit the ground running and attack West Ham early to get this win.
Leicester to beat Burnley – 5/9
If you decide to get in on our ten-fold accumulator, this is a decent price that will help give you a slight little boost. Leicester City have been beaten by Brighton and West Ham after struggling against Wolves on day one, and looked laboured at times in their 2-1 win over Norwich City. That being said, Burnley have also looked below par this year, and it’s hard to imagine that they will be getting the big win at the King Power stadium this weekend. We’re going for a Leicester win, but it’s also not out of the realm of possibility that Burnley sneak a draw at 59/20
Liverpool to beat Brentford – 5/11
We finish off the football on Saturday night with Liverpool’s trip to newly promoted Brentford for what should be a routine victory. However, just ask Arsenal about how routine a win is here. We’re backing Liverpool, based solely on the quality that they have relative to the new boys, but that didn’t do Arteta’s men any favours on day one, so always be a little bit wary. This could be a game that messes up your acca.
Southampton draw with Wolves – 21/10
You’re looking at sky-high prices in this fixture because it is genuinely an absolute cracker of a game. We kick off what is something of a super Sunday with an absolute pick ‘em between Southampton and Wolves. We literally cannot pick these teams, so we’re backing the draw, but at 8/5 for a Southampton win and 9/5 for a Wolves one, this is a game with tremendous value throughout.
Tottenham to beat Arsenal – 43/20
We understand that this was a poor choice when we recommended a Spurs result last weekend against Chelsea, but Arsenal this season are no Chelsea. We still believe that there is a big result in Nuno’s team and Mikel Arteta’s men may be the ones that they will end up getting it against. In football, we always back teams are more than 2/1 when the games seem even, as after all it is a three horse race! This one could definitely end up in either side’s favour, but at this price you have to like Spurs. The NetBet win probability calculator gives Arsenal a 43% chance of winning to Spurs’ 28% for a win. Even a draw is put at a higher percentage at 29%, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t routes to a victory for the visitors.
Brighton to beat Crystal Palace – 29/20
This is a fascinating game, but we just think that based on what we have seen from Graham Potter’s side so far this season, 29/20 for Brighton is too good to turn down. They seem to have found the goalscoring recipe this season to turn draws from last year into wins, so we’re going to have to back them against a Crystal Palace team who have also been really good thus far.
If you enter these results as a huge 10-fold acca on our NetBet Sport football odds page, you could stand to win over £17,000 off of just a £5 bet should all of our predictions come through.
