Leicester v Manchester United Football Preview
It’s an interesting clash at the King Power Stadium this Saturday afternoon as Leicester City play host to Manchester United.
This fixture is one of those games that would have been a whole lot more exciting last season when both were flying high, but there are still a lot of intriguing factors at play here.
The hosts have really struggled this year, while United have been hit and miss at various stages of the year, such as two weeks ago before players headed off to their countries.
Everton and Crystal Palace picked up points against United and City respectively, and there is a chance this game could end up being a big kicking off point for whoever wins this game.
Our NetBet win probability counter has this one as a relatively even clash, with United considerably favoured at 46% and the hosts at 28%, with a draw pretty close at 26%.
Leicester will need a big performance from star striker Jamie Vardy if they want to get the win this time around, while Manchester United’s stars like Cristiano Ronaldo, Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes will need to be on form this time around.
The odds are massive for this one, so there are real money making opportunities here if you can find them.
We’ve taken a look at some of those odds, and have made out picks and predictions for the weekend’s big game.
Leicester v Manchester United Football Odds
There is massive value in this game, given that it is so close with the bookies. Leicester are priced at a massive 12/5, which makes them considerable underdogs to 21/20 Manchester United. The draw is also worth a look at a mouth-watering 49/20.
Leicester v Manchester United betting tips
Odds are correct at the time of publication and are subject to change.
Draw – 49/20
Both of these sides have struggled for top form this year, and that was abundantly clear before we headed into the international break as they both drew their most recent games. Everton arrived at Old Trafford as big underdogs, and managed to get a solid draw that could easily have been a win. Leicester conceded twice in their draw to Crystal Palace, and they haven’t won a game since August, so we don’t think it’s worth backing them to break that record against Manchester United!
Half-time / Full-time – Tie/Manchester United – 17/4
Manchester United, particularly with Cristiano Ronaldo in the team, love a late winner. Can they get another big late goal? It’s definitely something that is worth placing a bet on in this market which always provides big opportunities. Leicester in this market are also absolutely worth considering at 27/4.
Cristiano Ronaldo to score anytime – 11/10
The return of Ronaldo to Old Trafford this season has proven to blow hot and cold. He’s still one of the greatest players in history, but he’s in the twilight of his career and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer needs to learn when to use him and when not to, which he seems to be struggling with at the moment. We do reckon that he’s got a big goal in him in this game though, and at odds just above evens, you could make a tasty profit with a big bet here.
