Manchester United v Liverpool Football Preview
One fixture that will never lose its lustre, no matter the form of either team, is when Manchester United and Liverpool go head-to-head, particularly at Old Trafford.
Incidentally, Liverpool are doing just fine, and Manchester United are struggling a little bit, but there are still a lot of intriguing factors at play between these two sides.
The hosts have at times looked great, but generally struggled this year, while Liverpool have pretty much kept the pace thus far at the top of the Premier League table with Chelsea and Manchester City.
We’d expect to see Manchester United looking for a big performance after their win over Atalanta during the week to keep momentum going. But after Liverpool’s big win over Atletico Madrid, it remains to be seen if they’ll have enough to do it.
Our NetBet win probability counter has this one swaying in favour of the visitors, with United currently sitting at 31% and the hosts at 28%, with a draw pretty close at 26%.
The odds are massive for this one, so there are real money making opportunities here if you can find them.
We’ve taken a look at some of those odds, and have made out picks and predictions for the weekend’s big game.
Manchester United v Liverpool Football odds
The bookies seem to think this is going to be a very close game, so if you get your picks right you stand to make big money. Visitors Liverpool are priced at a worthwhile 5/4, making them favourites. At 39/20, Manchester United are underdogs on their own patch. The draw is a really tantalising bet as well at 49/20.

Odds are correct at the time of publication and are subject to change.
Draw – 49/20
Both of these sides have had defensive disasters this year, and particularly given Liverpool’s proclivities towards letting teams in behind the defence to concede silly goals, we’d imagine this will be a very close game. If both of these sides were in absolute top form, you’d have to think that Manchester United would have enough, at home, with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo in the team and the history of the fixture, get a draw. But will they be?
Manchester United win and under 3.5 – 16/5
Games between Manchester United and Liverpool, particularly at Old Trafford, have been known to have a few goals from time to time, but it’s not a famously high scoring game or anything like that? We reckon that it’s a saf enough bet that Manchester United could win 1-0,2-0,3-0 or 2-1.
Mo Salah to score anytime – 7/5
The prices for either a Mo Salah goal or a Cristiano Ronaldo one are the same, so we would recommend that you back either, or both! Two men with goals on their mind every weekend, we’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, a day that you’re being offered above evens for a Mo Salah goal is a day where you have to make a bet.
