Brentford to beat Everton – 1/1

Everton have had an extremely underwhelming start to the season, and it looks set to get worse with a tough trip to London. Frank Lampard’s job has been made even more difficult by the sale of Richarlison and injury to Dominic Calvert-Lewin – the Toffees are severely lacking firepower. The visitors lost both league meetings with Brentford last campaign and we’re expecting a similar outcome this weekend.

The Bees were unlucky not to earn a point at Craven Cottage last time out, and if a disallowed goal had gone their way, they might have taken all three. Thomas Frank is working wonders at the Community Stadium, and what Everton lack in the attacking department, Brentford have an abundance of in Ivan Toney. There have been huge contrasts in these two teams’ performances thus far and that quality discrepancy will be clear on Saturday.

Arsenal to beat Fulham – 2/7

Arsenal have without doubt been the standout performer of the 2022/23 campaign, and some would even say they’ve been the surprise package. There were signs of Mikel Arteta’s plans coming to fruition last year, but they have come out all guns blazing with a newfound confidence this season. Martin Odegaard looks every bit the player Arsenal fans thought he would be and the addition of Oleksandr Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus look to have elevated the Gunners technically.

Fulham have put together some impressive performances of their own and remain undefeated after the first three games, but a trip to the Emirates should spell the end of their run. The Cottagers still appear a tad shaky defensively, something which the hosts will have no problem exploiting. The stage is set for another dominant Arsenal display.

Newcastle to beat Wolves – 17/10

With the acquisitions Wolves made in the summer window, many expected them to get off to a strong start. However, they are lacking any real cutting edge. For all of the technically proficient footballers they have littered across the pitch, the out of favour Raul Jimenez appears to be the only forward with an eye for goal. They still look quite compact defensively – as we have come to expect form Bruno Lage’s side – but they face a visit from a tricky Newcastle team brimming with momentum and confidence.

Eddie Howe’s side were unlucky not to take all three points against Manchester City, but their attacking fluidity and prowess was on show for all to see. It has not been confirmed how long the Magpies will be without Callum Wilson – which could prove a major blow – but they have shown enough in their first three games to make us believe they can best Wolves at Molineux.
