Man City vs Burnley
This is a cracking tie as Vincent Kompany returns to the Etihad with his high-flying Burnley side. The Clarets have established a huge lead at the summit of the championship and look certain of automatic promotion back to the top flight. They may have lost 10 consecutive matches against City but Kompany has them looking like a force to be reckoned with.
City will of course be strong favourites, and for good reason. But Burnley will arrive in Manchester full of confidence and will undoubtedly give it a good go. This could be a tighter affair than the bookies think.
Man City win and both teams to score – 3.11
Sheffield United vs Blackburn
These two sides are both fighting for promotion this season and will fancy their chances of an FA Cup semi-final when they meet at Bramall Lane. Sheffield United have scored in nine of their last 10 home matches and will be slight favourites, despite losing 1-0 just a fortnight ago.
Blackburn are also in fine form and have found the net in six of their previous seven away matches. They will take confidence from their recent victory over this weekend’s opposition. This could go either way.
Both teams to score – 1.87
Brighton vs Grimsby
Roberto De Zerbi has Brighton operating at a seriously high level and they will be believing they can go all the way in this competition. They are pushing for European football, and regardless of whether the manager decides to rotate, the Seagulls should have enough quality to cruise into the final four.
Grimsby are sat comfortably in League 2 mid-table, with not a lot left to play for in their campaign. They will therefore put everything into this huge FA Cup tie. But away from home against elite opposition, we can’t see them causing an upset.
Brighton win to nil – 1.80
Man United vs Fulham
Fulham are another side that will be thinking they can lift a trophy this season. They travel to Old Trafford knowing the hosts will be without Casemiro, who has been one of their best players this season. United have shipped far more goals without the Brazilian on the pitch and the Cottagers will be looking to capitalise on that weak spine.
But for all of their midfield woes in Casemiro’s absence, Erik ten Hag has some serious firepower at his disposal. Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford are both in excellent form and could be the difference on home soil.
Man United win and both teams to score – 3.05
