Incredibly, Bournemouth would go above Chelsea with a win thanks to accumulating 12 points from a possible 15 in the last month. In 2023, the Cherries have beaten Liverpool and Spurs as well as picking up a point against Newcastle. Yeah sure, Chelsea could turn up. But have we seen anything in the last few weeks to suggest they actually will?

Tottenham vs Crystal Palace
Tottenham are a bizarre team. They capitulated against Newcastle, turned up for 45 minutes against Man United, and then produced a memorable comeback at Anfield only to throw it away in the last minute. For all of their inconsistencies, they have lost just twice in 10 home games and will be favourites against a Palace team that don’t have much to play for.
Roy Hodgson has done the job he was brought in for. Four wins in six and the Eagles are all but mathematically safe from relegation. They also tend to fare better at Selhurst Park than they do on the road.

Wolves vs Aston Villa
Julen Lopetegui has also just about saved Wolves from the drop and has done it by making them hard to beat at the Molineux. They have won six of their nine home matches in 2023, keeping a clean sheet in all six victories. We’re not convinced they will keep the high-flying Aston Villa from finding the net, but we think they’ll nick a result
Defeat at Old Trafford ended Villa’s 10-match unbeaten run. After an incredible goalscoring run, things have quietened down for Ollie Watkins. They’d do well to come away three points in this Midlands derby.

Manchester City vs Leeds
We’re going with a 4-0 City win, but honestly, it could be more. Leeds are in absolute turmoil toward the bottom. They have lost four of their last five and conceded 4+ goals on three occasions during that time. This includes a 4-1 drubbing at the hands of their once-relegation rivals Bournemouth.
City could have a field day. They have scored 57 goals in 17 league matches at the Etihad this campaign. Not to mention that big Norwegian lad up front that has scored 18 goals in his previous 11 appearances. It would be the biggest shock of the season if Leeds managed to scrape anything out of this tie.
