Do Roulette Pros Exist?

To answer the question right away – yes, they do. Roulette pros exist and are famous in the world of gambling, even if it’s not a game of skill we’re talking about. It may be a game of chance, but it’s one that many have played successfully. Just ask the pros – they make a living out of it.

While we wouldn’t condone our readers following their high-roller moves, we have to give these pros credit where it’s due. Below you can see the world’s most famous roulette players that have won unbeatable amounts of money on the wheel.

Carol Jarecki

Carol was a professional high-profile chess competition organizer before she learned her way on the roulette wheel. She and her husband Richard Jarecki emptied many casino vaults decades ago, especially in Italy. They are credited with the creation of a special roulette betting system that allowed them to take advantage of any wheel’s imperfections. Before their scheme was even discovered, they raked in more than $1.2 million. And, of course, as the story goes, they were banned from the country for a while and from all Italian casinos.

Laszlo Kovacs

While some call him a cheater, there are no famous roulette players list without Kovacs. He made his way to big roulette wins by using a hidden electronic device in his shoe that predicted the outcome of future spins. It couldn’t predict the future – it was all based on mechanics. Whenever he tapped his foot, the device would obtain the speed of the wheel and potential stop point. Not all of his tries were successful, but the majority were.

Kovacs was arrested in Australia for cheating at the Star City Casino. Regardless, he won anywhere between $200,000 and $500,000 during his run and is enjoying his money even after being deported from Australia.

Charles Wells

Charles Wells was a well-known English swindler who made a fortune in a Monte Carlo casino on a roulette wheel at the end of the XIX century. He didn’t cheat his way through. Instead, Wells claimed he use an ‘infallible’ system that he developed over decades. He broke the bank in a Monte Carlo casino with this system in 1892, winning as much as 300,000 francs. Wells lost about 100,000 in the same casino later, so the system wasn’t as infallible as he believed it to be.

But, he’s definitely one of the biggest roulette players in history and a legendary roulette pro.
