It’s setting up to be another thrilling Premier League campaign, with more competition than there’s ever been for the Champions League spots. We sat down with Gunners legend Ray Parlour to find out who he fancies to claim a top four spot.

Ray Parlour’s Top 4 Preview
The amount of money flying about in the Premier League is quite obscene, with the likes of Brighton and Aston Villa significantly strengthening their European bids. But Parlour isn’t straying too far from last season’s top four finishers, with just one exception.
“I know the top four, I’m just not sure of the order! I’ll go for Arsenal, Manchester City, Liverpool and Manchester United. Arsenal are once again going to push Manchester City all the way this season and with the addition of Rice, Timber and Havertz, plus the squad being a year older and wiser, Arsenal will be in the mix for sure.”
Most would probably agree. Arsenal have spent big and addressed their midfield concerns, United have strengthened their spine, Liverpool will bounce back after an injury-plagued campaign, and City, well, City are City.
But all though Parlour thinks Arsenal will be in another title race this season, the former Gunner believes they may be a touch short up top.
“I think they’re lacking a little up front. I would look at a striker if you have the money. It’s very hard to find them, there are not actually many around. We’d all love another Haaland! It’s very important they all chip in with goals, they all need to step up. That’s a successful team.”
It remains to be seen whether they can go toe-to-toe with City across 38 games, but the Arsenal squad is the strongest it’s been post-Wenger. Pep Guardiola hasn’t gone crazy in the market – it’s been more of a selling window – but you would still say it’s the strongest team in the league, and probably in Europe.

Premier League Top 4 Predictions
Chelsea to finish in the top 4 – 2.63
There isn’t much value in the top four favourites. Next up is Newcastle, but we’re not sure they have the squad to compete in Europe and the Premier League. That brings us to Chelsea. No European football, a new manager with a proven track record in England. Mauricio Pochettino’s Blues could well make waves should their new signings gel.
Man United to finish in the top 4 – 1.73
At these odds, United are perhaps the only top four favourite with any value. Erik ten Hag has brought in the centre forward they’ve been crying out for in Rasmus Hojlund, has bolstered the midfield with the energy of Mason Mount, and has potentially revolutionised the way United play by swapping David de Gea for Andre Onana. They should be much improved from last season.
