Manchester City to beat Nottingham Forest @ 1.13
It could be a pretty rough afternoon for Nottingham Forest. The Notts side travel to Manchester knowing that Pep’s well-oiled goal machine is fully up and running, armed, dangerous, and ready to go.
It could be a case of how many for this City side as you just can’t see them slipping up in this one, especially not after they underperformed in mid-week in the Champions League. They’ll be looking to bounce back with a statement win, which could spell trouble for Nottingham Forest.
Liverpool to beat West Ham @ 1.40
The Reds seem to be re-finding their form of old and have looked like a side with a point to prove this season. Without the Champions League, it’s all riding on domestic football this season for Liverpool.
The Red have made Anfield a fortress since Jurgen Klopp took over and as they welcome the Irons to Merseyside there’s only one way this is going. To compound things, West Ham have typically struggled away from home, especially at Anfield, so it’s not looking good for the travelling supporters.
Arsenal to draw with Tottenham @ 4.20
Arsenal versus Tottenham. It’s the biggest game this weekend and there’s so much at stake for two sides playing some really good stuff at the moment. However, there isn’t much to split between the two sides.
Arsenal have a great home record and after an impressive mid-week result against PSV, their confidence will be high, and they’ll be hoping to continue the bounce. The same can be said for Spurs. Ange Postecoglou has also turned Tottenham into a different beast. They seem a different side, and as the two sides lock horns, this one could end with the points shared.
Wolves to beat Luton Town @ 2.22
Luton have got it tough this year. The record for the least points in a single season is something they will really want to avoid, and with the Hatters having not picked up a win yet, I can’t see it happening this weekend.
On the other hand, Wolves looked really good in the first half against Liverpool. Although they ultimately got nothing from the match, there were plenty of positives to take away. Pedro Neto will be a key player along with the Wolves midfield. But if they play anywhere near as well as they did against Liverpool then they will cruise through this one.
Chelsea to draw with Aston Villa @ 3.71
Chelsea have had a strange start to the campaign. After a good point at home to start off they seem to have struggled, and while they have quality players in every area of the pitch, it just doesn’t seem to be coming together for them at the moment. It seems the same problems from last year are hampering their chances once more.
On the other hand, Villa head to Stamford Bridge flying. Unai Emery has the Villa side playing some brilliant stuff this year and they will have their sights firmly set on the top half of the table. While they might not take all three points this weekend, they certainly have it in them to get a result away from home and return to Birmingham with a point.
