Newcastle to beat Dortmund – 1.67
Will the European dream continue for Newcastle this week? After beating a good Crystal Palace side last weekend, they will be feeling good coming into this one. Atletico Madrid to beat Celtic – 1.90
It’s been a decent start for Atletico this season. They have been okay in Europe, winning one and drawing the other, leaving them top of the group as things stand. They have also been in good form in the league, having already beaten Real Madrid this season and sitting fourth with just three points between them and the leaders. Diego Simeone has once again built an industrious side that can mix it with the best of them, whether that’s in Europe or in the League.
Celtic on the other hand look completely out of their depth in Europe. While they still continue to dominate in the Scottish Prem, they have been woeful in Europe and have lost both of their matches in the Champions League so far. While they may take hope that it’s at home and their home crowd can pull them through, Diego Simeone’s side has been to tougher places. It’s going to be a rough night for Celtic.
Bayern Munich to beat Galatasaray – 1.43
For Bayern, this might be the toughest test of the competition so far. Going away to Turkey, and especially Galatasaray, is famously difficult. For Bayern, they come off the back of another win this weekend in the Bundesliga. With Kingsley Coman and Harry Kane putting them two up within 16 minutes, it was always going to be hard for Mainz to get back into the game. However, this is a completely different affair, and they will have to be on top form against Galatasaray if they are to silence their famously aggressive crowd.
Meanwhile, Galatasaray have been in really good form. They won a massive game last time out, beating Besiktas, and also recorded a famous win at Old Trafford a few weeks ago. However, Bayern are one of the best teams in Europe. While there is every chance that the home side make things difficult, ultimately, with their star quality and world-class ability, Bayern Munich simply won’t lose.
