Manchester City to beat Bournemouth – 1.09
It’s a simple start this week. It’s one of those games you can see getting quite nasty for Bournemouth should City get one early on. After their (relative) blip, Rodri has returned to the side and they look as good as ever. After dismantling their rivals United in their own yard, this is an easier prospect and one I’m sure they won’t make a hash of.
For Bournemouth, they teeter dangerously above the relegation spots. After a dry run of games losing to Everton, Arsenal, and Wolves, they managed to pull out a result against fellow strugglers Burnley. Although Burnley have a City legend in charge and play pretty expansive football, this weekend will be a completely different experience. City will want to get themselves some goals here and are likely to.
Brighton to beat Everton – 2.18
Brighton’s 6-1 drubbing at the hands of Aston Villa had fans worried it could dent their confidence and hopes of another top season. It quite frankly did the opposite. Since then, Brighton have been unbeaten and back to their very best, including a historic 2-0 win at home to Ajax and a draw with the in-form Liverpool.
Everton on the other hand are still down in the thick of it fighting for survival. Although it seems that Sean Dyche has finally changed something, bringing a win against West Ham, they somehow seem to be worse at home. The chorus of boos we’ve become so accustomed to at Goodison Park is likely to be back this weekend.
Liverpool to beat Luton Town – 1.24
Liverpool are back to their best. After another convincing win at home last weekend, they now travel to Luton, the side currently sitting third from bottom. The Reds will want to knock a few in and build confidence again this weekend against one of the weaker sides in the division.
For Luton, they won’t be looking forward to a visit from Jurgen Klopp and his men. This Luton side will be hoping it’s an off day for the Northerners as they arrive, but if they come ready to play and in form, this could get ugly.
Leicester to beat Leeds United – 1.98
Leicester City are on course for a mammoth total this season. They welcome Leeds to the King Power this weekend in the hopes of giving themselves yet more breathing room at the top of the Championship. Their fans are loving life in the lower division as they are currently five points clear of Ipswich at the top.
They travel to a Leeds side that also dreams of automatic promotion. It’s probably the biggest game of the season so far. While Leeds have bolstered their squad with the likes of Pirio and a few other good signings, they are still facing a side that have kept most of their FA Cup-winning players and also a rejuvenated Jamie Vardy, who continues to bang in the goals at this level. I see them pulling further ahead at the top this season.
Ipswich to beat Birmingham – 1.95
It has been a pretty crazy season for Ipswich. One of the ones that makes fans pinch themselves. They are well on course for the automatic promotion spot here. Their last loss came way back in August at the hands of Leeds, but since then they have been in great form, climbing the table every week.
For Birmingham, they have been erratic and have not managed to string a run of wins together. They welcome the second most in-form team to St Andrews this weekend. They have actually struggled against good sides at home so its very likely that they will once again fall in front of their faithful fans this weekend.
