Arsenal to beat Brentford – 1.74

In Saturday’s late kick-off, the Gunners are set to visit the Gtech Community Stadium, aiming for a third consecutive win across all competitions. Following a 3-1 victory against newly-promoted Burnley in their last domestic outing, Mikel Arteta’s side faces a tougher challenge against Brentford. But they are third in the table and will be looking to continue their good form against a Brentford side that lost 3-0 away to Liverpool.

Brentford enjoyed an impressive run with three successive wins, but a 3-0 defeat to Liverpool before the international break caused them to slip to 11th in the Premier League table. They have been such a mixed bag this season and have missed talisman Ivan Toney. With mixed form and a club that seems to struggle against the top sides; Arsenal will run out with this one.

Brighton to beat Nottingham Forest – 2.17

Brighton are on a five-game winless streak in the league, marking their longest stretch without victory since Roberto De Zerbi’s initial five games in charge in October last year. Despite their relative bad form, they have had a lot of issues and injuries to contend with. After an international break that’s given them a chance to recoup, they’ll be back in a place where their quality can shine through.

Forest delivered their most impressive performance of the season in the previous home fixture, securing a 2-0 victory over the in-form Aston Villa. However, although Steve Cooper’s team continued their goal-scoring form in the subsequent match, netting two goals, they left the London Stadium empty-handed, succumbing to a 3-2 defeat against West Ham. Brighton will be too much for them this weekend, even in front of their home fans.

Chelsea to beat Newcastle – 2.53

After a tumultuous start, the Blues seem to be finding their rhythm under Mauricio Pochettino. Although not entirely convincing in the 4-1 win over Tottenham, there were promising signs in the dramatic 4-4 draw with Manchester City before the international break. They seem to finally be finding their rhythm and a style that could work going forward. Pochettino’s Chelsea have shown resilience against top teams, having taken points off Liverpool and Arsenal this season. This could be the start of better things under Pochettino.

Newcastle are grappling with an injury crisis, with several key players like Sven Botman, Harvey Barnes, Callum Wilson, and others sidelined. They have produced some howlers too, not least in their last game where they collapsed to defeat at lowly Bournemouth, prompting Kieran Trippier and Geordie fans to have ‘words.’ With a full-strength side, this one would be much tighter to call, but with their injury crisis and a huge amount of fixtures on the table, they will struggle this Saturday.

Leicester to beat Watford – 1.55

High-flying Leicester, victorious in 13 of their 16 league games this season, will host struggling Watford, who have only managed to win one game away from home. Leicester’s dominance is particularly evident at home, where they have won in six out of eight league games this term. With their top quality squad, they will continue their winning ways this weekend.

Watford’s away struggles are highlighted by a meagre one win in their last 16 away league matches and a limited goal-scoring record of just two goals in their last five away fixtures, underscoring the challenging task they face against a formidable Leicester side. It’s the toughest place to go in the Championship and I don’t hold out much hope for Watford.

Portsmouth to beat Blackpool – 1.98

Portsmouth are riding high on an impressive streak, unbeaten in their last 20 matches, showcasing their resilience and consistency on the field. With 10 victories in their past 16 matches this season, they’re proving to be a formidable force. Particularly at home, Portsmouth has been a goal-scoring powerhouse, netting 2 or more goals in 6 of their last 10 matches, creating an exciting and forward-thinking style.

Defensively solid, Portsmouth have recorded 7 clean sheets in their last 16 matches this season, emphasising their ability to keep clean sheets. On the other hand, Blackpool face a challenging task, having failed to win in their last 4 away matches. This sets the stage for an intriguing matchup, with Portsmouth’s impressive form and Blackpool looking to turn the tide on their away struggles.
