Manchester United to beat Bournemouth – 1.60

You never quite know what’s going to happen when Manchester United play a game of football. Is there going to be another meltdown? Are we going to see Roy Keane finally explode? After a victory against Chelsea this week, they have successfully navigated another difficult period. Although it’s far from over, beating the old enemy Chelsea will have given them so much confidence. In front of their home fans, they will be confident in making it another home win.

United should not underestimate Bournemouth this weekend, especially considering their recent 2-0 win against Crystal Palace. While Andoni Iraola’s side are likely to adopt a defensive approach at Old Trafford. United have a strong historical record against Bournemouth, with 14 victories and three draws from their 20 previous meetings. Notably, none of the three defeats occurred on home soil. Despite this, it would be unwise to assume an easy win, and United should approach the match with caution.

Liverpool to beat Crystal Palace – 1.60

Liverpool are in a purple patch. This weekend they are hoping to make it eight on the spin. Their only defeat came to Spurs this year in controversial fashion. But it’s an early kick-off and Klopp hates them… Crystal Palace struggled to secure a win in their last 5 home matches and conceded 2 or more goals in 5 of their last 10 home games. On the flip side, Liverpool enter the game with an impressive unbeaten streak of 8 matches and a track record of scoring 2 or more goals in 11 out of their last 15 games. With the other top teams around them dropping points, for the Reds, this title push is well and truly alive.

In their recent clash at Selhurst Park, Crystal Palace suffered a 2-0 defeat against Bournemouth, failing to find the net. Crystal Palace managed three corners and three shots on target during the game. Contrastingly, Liverpool secured a 2-0 victory in their away match against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane. Virgil van Dijk and Dominik Szoboszlai were the goal scorers in this Premier League encounter. Liverpool will come into this confident.

Wolves to beat Nottingham Forest – 2.01

Wolves seem to be somewhere near their best under Gary O’Neil, and if they can just stay clear of any VAR decisions, they will feel confident about this one. They are unbeaten in five at home against some good opposition including the top clubs, beating City and Spurs, also getting results against Villa and Newcastle. They are positioning themselves for a likely mid-table finish by the end of the campaign. On the other hand, Nottingham Forest might face challenges, currently just four points ahead of Luton and dealing with the potential impact of Everton’s deduction.

Forest’s recent performances raise concerns, experiencing their fourth consecutive league loss on Wednesday night. The 5-0 defeat to Fulham at Craven Cottage exposed vulnerabilities in their defence, amplifying the uncertainties surrounding their trajectory in the league.

Southampton to beat Watford – 2.17

The Saints are flying high under Russell Martin. Unbeaten in ten, they could make it eleven this weekend. They haven’t lost in five on the road and as they arrive in Watford, there’s plenty of reasons to be positive. The Saints are fourth in the standings, while Watford’s improvement has taken them into 10th position.  Following Southampton’s impressive performance against Cardiff, comfortably winning, there is optimism that manager Martin may opt to maintain the formula by sticking with the same starting lineup.

The team’s success in their previous outing suggests cohesion and effectiveness, prompting confidence in the current player selection. Southampton’s ability to comfortably dispose of Cardiff adds to the positive momentum, creating anticipation for continued success as they approach upcoming fixtures. The prospect of a consistent starting lineup reflects the team’s stability and strategic approach under Martin’s guidance. It’s going to be a hard-fought game but the Saints’ style might give them the edge.

Leicester to beat Plymouth – 1.26

Coming into this one with a whopping 16 wins from the last 20, the Foxes are flying high. They are, by everyone’s assumption, a Premier League outfit. But getting out of the Championship is no easy feat. In their recent outing at The Hawthorns, Harry Winks popped up with a winner, secured all three points for the team, and maintained the Foxes’ position at the top of the Championship table. It seemed like a big win to keep them top as we head into a very busy Christmas period.

Plymouth Argyle have recently enjoyed a couple of noteworthy victories, propelling them to the 16th spot in the Championship standings. With six points between them and the relegation zone, their recent success, including a significant win against Stoke City, have contributed to a more comfortable position in the league. But, as we head into this one, the Foxes will have too much quality this weekend against a side in the lower end of the Championship table.
