On a weekend where the EFL Cup final takes centre stage, there is also plenty of Premier League football to look forward to.
We’ve got some cracking ties at both ends of the table, with Arsenal taking on Newcastle at the top and Crystal Palace hosting Burnley at the bottom.
We’ve previewed Saturday’s four 3pm kick-offs, giving our picks based on the latest football odds, as well as score predictions.
At NetBet Sport, you can win a jackpot up to £500 this weekend for accurately predicting the score in each of the below games.
Aston Villa vs Nottingham Forest
Aston Villa currently occupy fourth place, two points ahead of Tottenham. However, they have hit a rough patch in the past six weeks.
Unai Emery’s side have won just twice in seven matches in all competitions. They have also lost three consecutive home games against Newcastle, Chelsea, and Man United.
However, they got back to winning ways against Fulham last time out and should have the class to unlock Nottingham Forest.
Forest have not travelled well this season and are without a win away from home (in 90mins) in 2024.
Only Burnley, Fulham, and Sheffield United have won fewer points on the road this season.
Aston Villa to win @ 1.55
Score prediction: 3-1
Manchester United vs Fulham
United have hit form in 2024 and have now won five straight games. However, they have been handed a fresh injury blow ahead of this weekend.
Rasmus Hojlund will miss 2-3 weeks with a muscle injury. The Dane has scored in six successive matches, with this injury sure to hamper their productivity in front of goal.
Fulham are in a comfortable position thanks to their positive early-season form.
Their patch form means they travel to Old Trafford with just one win in their previous eight outings.
They have not won at OT since 2003, and even with United’s weakened attack, the points should still go to the hosts.
Manchester United to win @ 1.59
Score prediction: 2-1
Brighton vs Everton
Everton’s form makes for shocking reading. They have won just once in 12 games in all competitions.
So, why do you always get the feeling they could nick a result?
Their dogged determination is classic Sean Dyche. They don’t concede many goals and are devastating from set pieces.
Brighton have shown frailties and are not the same side that qualified for Europe last campaign.
A 4-1 victory against Palace and 5-0 drubbing in Sheffield paint over the cracks of a 4-0 defeat against Luton.
Everton could make this a real tricky fixture at the Amex.
Draw @ 3.97
Score prediction: 1-1
Crystal Palace vs Burnley
It’s a relegation six-pointer. Three points would go a long way to securing Palace’s top-flight status, whereas defeat for Burnley could plunge them up to 10 points from safety.
A fortnight ago this would have been a flip-a-coin decision. But Palace have that new manager bounce.
Oliver Glasner will walk out into Selhurst Park for the first time on Saturday, and what an atmosphere it will be.
Burnley have lost four straight away games and we can’t see them taking anything from South London.
Crystal Palace to win @ 2.00
Score prediction: 1-0
