England are in desperate need of a strong performance following three lacklustre displays against Serbia, Denmark and Slovenia.
But it will not be easy against a Slovakia side who beat Belgium 1-0 in their opener and held Romania to a 1-1 draw.
Southgate may opt to ring the changes for this match, with Kobbie Mainoo and Cole Palmer each impressing off the bench in the 0-0 with Slovenia.
Left-back Luke Shaw may also be fit enough to make his first Euro 2024 appearance in a huge boost for the Three Lions
Slovakia will go into the game with confidence, though. Star defender Milan Skriniar will be relishing his battle with Harry Kane, while Ivan Schranz has shone at the tournament with two goals in three matches. He is a player Southgate’s defence will need to keep an eye on.
