The best tennis players on the planet return to the All England Club as Novak Djokovic goes in search of an eighth Wimbledon title.

Ahead of the event, which is always one of the biggest on the sporting calendar, we have previewed both the men’s and women’s tournaments, providing some betting tips along the way.

Wimbledon Men’s Preview

Djokovic is looking to win a record-equalling eighth title but it will be anything but easy for the Serbian superstar.

Djokovic underwent surgery on a knee injury early last month, meaning he is not in the best of shape heading into this tournament – although you can never rule out such a serial winner.

The defending champion is Spanish sensation Carlos Alcaraz, who won his first French Open title just a few weeks ago.

Djokovic and Alcaraz met in the 2023 final with the latter emerging victorious, although both will be wary of the threat posed by young Italian ace Jannik Sinner – who is the favourite to claim the trophy.

Wimbledon Women’s Preview

One of the big stories heading into the women’s tournament is the presence of British star Emma Raducanu.

Last year, her Wimbledon experience consisted of trips to the hospital as she battled a series of nasty injuries.

But Raducanu will take to the court this time around and with some good form behind her.

It is a pretty open field in the women’s tournament, with world No1 Iga Swiatek, Aryna Sabalenka, Elena Rybakina and Coco Gauff all capable of achieving Wimbledon glory.

Men’s Odds:

Jannik Sinner – 2.88

Hubert Hurkacz – 17.00

Women’s Odds:

Iga Swiatek – 4.33

Aryna Sabalenka – 4.50

Elena Rybakina – 6.50

Coco Gauff – 7.50

Ons Jabeur – 15.00

Wimbledon Betting Tips

Carlos Alcaraz – 3.40

While hardly an outside bet, Alcaraz’s odds look pretty good to us given he is the defending champion and a three-time major title winner. Sinner, of course, poses a serious threat but the Spaniard’s previous successes may give him the edge.

Hubert Hurkacz – 17.00

Perhaps the best outside shot in the men’s section. Hurkacz, the world No7, arrives at Wimbledon in good form and his chances are boosted by the fact he would not have to play either Sinner or Alcaraz until the final. His serve is lethal as well, the perfect weapon for the Wimbledon courts.

Emma Raducanu – 29.00

Raducanu is not among the favourites but she has all the tools to go far at Wimbledon. With a home crowd behind her, the 21-year-old will look to upset the odds and lest we forget, she has experience of winning major titles thanks to her sensational victory at the 2021 US Open.

Madison Keys – 21.00

Experienced American star Keys, 29, has looked in great form this year and has the game to go all the way at Wimbledon this time around. She reached the quarter-final stage last year and previously made the final of the US Open in 2017.

Where to Watch Wimbledon

Wimbledon will be broadcast live on BBC One and BBC Two up until the men’s final on Sunday, July 14. The women’s final will be contested on Saturday, July 13.
