Preview
Fresh from a convincing 3-0 win over Romania, confidence will be high in the Dutch camp and they will be hoping for a repeat performance. However, a rampaging Turkey team may pose different problems to ones they have faced so far in this tournament.
The Netherlands have played their signature style of attacking football, adapting to each opponent and using their talented squad well. Cody Gakpo has been their main goal threat, with youngster Xavi Simons also looking very impressive.
Despite a few defensive struggles along the way, their strong and organised team – led by Virgil van Dijk – will look to negate Turkey’s attacking threat and bring order to proceedings. They have the personnel to shut Turkey down completely and will look to impose their will on the game from the start.
Turkey shocked fans yet again in the round of 16, beating an Austria side who had been extremely impressive and fancied by some to go all the way.
Without talisman Hakan Calhanoglu, the young guns had the pressure to deliver on their shoulders but it was veteran defender Merih Demiral who stepped up, scoring both of the goals in the 2-1 win. It is also worth mentioning goalkeeper Mert Gunok’s incredible last-minute save, which spectacularly preserved the victory.
Turkey will look to the returning Calhanoglu to both control the midfield and supply the likes of Arda Guler and Kenan Yildiz. The Netherlands will present a puzzle that they have not had to solve just yet in the competition. Turkey will need to play with their heads, as well as their hearts, on Saturday night if they want to get a result.
Odds
The Netherlands head into this one as big favourites, sitting at 1.61 to progress to the semi-finals where they would be greeted by England or Switzerland. Turkey will take to the pitch as 5.50 underdogs, a title they will relish.

If Turkey are to succeed with their chaotic style, it is likely that Real Madrid man Guler will have something to do with it. Guler is 6.00 to score anytime.
