Premier League Matchday 1 Acca

The Premier League, it is finally back!

After a summer full of international action, the world’s biggest domestic league returns to stadiums and television screens this weekend.

Manchester United and Fulham kick off the 2024-25 campaign on Friday evening, with the Old Trafford curtain raiser followed by nine other matches.

Ahead of the action, NetBet has picked out four bets for this weekend which can be used in an accumulator with odds of 20.89.

NetBet is the place to be for betting on the Premier League. We have so many different markets to choose from with great odds – and new customers can take advantage of our exciting welcome offer!

Everton to beat Brighton @ 2.73

*Odds are subject to change

The first of the four is certainly a bold shout, but we really fancy Everton to get their season off to a winning start.

The Toffees have been strong at Goodison Park throughout Sean Dyche’s tenure and they have made some smart signings this summer.

Iliman Ndiaye, Jesper Lindstrom and Jake O’Brien have all completed moves to Merseyside, while Jarrad Branthwaite is still at the club despite links with Manchester United.

Of course, beating Brighton will not be easy, although the Seagulls may take a little while to build some momentum with Fabian Hurzeler replacing Roberto De Zerbi in the managerial dugout over the summer.

West Ham vs Aston Villa, both teams to score @ 1.46

The first Saturday evening kick-off of the new Premier League season has the potential to be an absolute cracker.

Hosts West Ham, with Julen Lopetegui in charge and a plethora of summer signings ready to impress, will fancy their chances against an Aston Villa side who will soon be competing in the Champions League.

Due to the number of attacking stars on show at the London Stadium, including potential debuts for Niclas Fullkrug and Crysencio Summerville, we can see there being goals aplenty.

The Hammers go into this match as slight favourites but in reality, it is a clash which is almost impossible to call.

Crystal Palace to beat Brentford @ 2.88

Crystal Palace are actually the underdogs going into this one, which is slightly surprising given their finish to last season under Austrian boss Oliver Glasner.

Yes, Michael Olise has joined Bayern Munich and Jean-Philippe Mateta may not be involved due to his participation at the Paris Olympics, but the Eagles are still a very good side.

Eberechi Eze will be keen to impress and we could see Daichi Kamada and Ismaila Sarr make their Palace bows after joining this summer from Lazio and Marseille respectively.

Brentford flirted with relegation last term and you would not be surprised to see the Bees fighting for survival again in 2024-25.

Manchester City to beat Chelsea @ 1.82

The first clash of the season between two of the ‘Top Six’ sees champions City travel to Chelsea for Sunday’s later kick-off.

City go into the game on the back of a penalty shootout victory over local rivals Manchester United in the Community Shield.

They will also hope to have the likes of Phil Foden, Rodri and Kyle Walker back and available after their exploits at Euro 2024.

As such, we fancy Pep Guardiola’s men to emerge victorious at Stamford Bridge, particularly with Chelsea’s lack of form during their pre-season campaign under new manager Enzo Maresca.

The Blues won just one of their pre-season outings and actually lost 4-2 to City in the United States of America, a match in which Erling Haaland scored a hat-trick.

You have to fancy the Norwegian to ripple the back of the net this Sunday too…
