Bayern Munich vs Bayer Leverkusen Preview

On paper, it really is a meeting between the two best teams in Germany at this moment in time.

Bayern have started like a train under new boss Vincent Kompany, scoring 16 league goals and racking up four wins from four.

Leverkusen have not been quite as devastating as last season, when they went unbeaten to claim a maiden Bundesliga crown, but have still bagged 13 goals and won three of their four matches.

Xabi Alonso’s side travel to Bayern on the back of a dramatic 4-3 win over Wolfsburg, a fixture in which another injury-time strike – this time from Victor Boniface – secured all three points.

The Bundesliga holders will resultingly be full of confidence, however, Bayern present a challenge that few will be able to overcome this season.

Harry Kane is in superb form with five Bundesliga goals to his name in 2024-25, while the arrival of Michael Olise has only served to strengthen the attack.

Leverkusen’s defence has already been breached nine times in the top flight this term, so they will need to improve quite dramatically to have any hope of keeping a clean sheet.

But while Bayern’s back-line has looked imperious thus far in comparison, Leverkusen’s attack remains a terrifying prospect for any side and with a reported injury-free squad, they also have a variety of different options.

Florian Wirtz has already bagged four league goals, while Boniface has three of his own. Patrik Schick, Martin Terrier and Nathan Tella are some just some of the other exciting forward-thinking players at Alonso’s disposal.

With both sides enjoying a rare full week of rest, this could be one of the best games seen anywhere in Europe in 2024-25. We cannot wait!

Bayern Munich vs Bayer Leverkusen Odds

It will come as no surprise that Bayern are big favourites here at 1.71. Leverkusen are priced at 4.30, while the draw is 4.33.

Kane sits at 4.30 to open the scoring, while Leverkusen star Boniface is 7.80. The in-form Olise is temptingly priced at 11.00 to be the game’s first goal-getter…

Bayern Munich vs Bayer Leverkusen Betting Tips

Bayern Munich to win and over 3.5 goals in the match @ 2.91

As we previously touched on, the attacking power possessed by both of these Bundesliga sides is quite something. So goals should not be hard to come by at the Allianz on Saturday, while a Bayern win looks likely too.

Bet Builder: Both teams to score, over 3.5 goals in the match, Harry Kane and Florian Wirtz to score anytime @ 6.75

A bet with a similar flavour to the one above, albeit without Bayern to win but the added risk of Kane and Wirtz each finding the back of the net. But both players should be on penalty duty, which only increases their chances of scoring on Saturday.
