Power Slap 9: Fight Card Preview

Power Slap 9 Fight Card

After taking the sporting world by storm in recent times, Power Slap debuts in Abu Dhabi on October 24 as a prelude to UFC 308 and it is all set up to be the best event yet.

But which fights are scheduled to take place in the ninth live edition of Dana White’s slap-fighting promotion later this month?

NetBet runs the rule over four of the biggest bouts already officially announced by Power Slap, including the headline act and the return of a UFC superstar.

And do not forget, NetBet customers and sports betting fans can take advantage of our brilliant welcome offer!

Da Crazy Hawaiian vs Vasilii ‘Dumpling’ Kamotskii

So, the headline act of the ninth Power Slap festival is a super heavyweight contest which has the potential to go down as one of the promotion’s most epic battles.

Legendary figure Da Crazy Hawaiian is the defending world champion in the weight category and recorded a comprehensive victory over Danie van Heerden at Power Slap 8.

But if anyone can end his unbeaten run, it is the man known as Dumpling – the man who inspired White to invest in slap-fighting.

Dumpling is a slap-fighting legend himself and made his Power Slap debut at the last live edition, when he defeated Kamil Marusarz.

This five-round contest will have twists, turns, drama and some seriously heavy blows. It will be something of a surprise if both men are left standing on their own two feet.

Paige VanZant vs Chelsea Dodson

After starring on her debut at Power Slap 8, ex-UFC star VanZant is heading to Abu Dhabi where she will face newcomer Dodson.

VanZant beat Christine Wolmarans by unanimous decision in her previous bout, scoring two knockdowns in the process, and will be eyeing a knockout this time around.

Dodson is actually the wife of combat sports icon John Dodson and she will look to shock the world on her Power Slap debut by striking her way to victory.

John Davis vs Isaiah Quinones

This bout will be contested with the world middleweight championship on the line.

Defending champ Davis, nicknamed ‘The Machine’, is a Power Slap veteran with five wins and just the one loss to his name.

Can he make it six victories in Abu Dhabi? You would be a fool to bet against him, although Quinones is certainly a formidable opponent and will provide a stern examination of his title credentials.

Quinones defeated Wesley Drain on the preliminary card of Power Slap 8, scoring a TKO victory in just the second round.

Joshua Boisvert vs Dakota McGregor

In the words of Power Slap’s official Instagram page, this is ‘The McGregor of Power Slap vs The Fresh Prince’.

While not a title fight, this lightweight clash has all the makings of a cracker.

Both fighters have made serious waves in Season 3 of Power Slap: Road to the Title and will now face off in Abu Dhabi as a result of their success.

A knockout is certainly on the cards; but who will be the one to deliver the decisive blow?

Power Slap 9 will be available to watch live and free around the world through streaming service Rumble, which is available on both desktop and mobile.
