Newcastle to beat Everton @ 2.12

Everton’s 2-1 win over Crystal Palace last weekend may prove to be the catalyst for change after a dismal start to the campaign. This test will be incredibly difficult, though.

Newcastle have lost only one game this season and have taken points off Tottenham and Manchester City, with their attack looking incredibly dynamic – Anthony Gordon and Harvey Barnes in particular.

Despite the boost from last week’s win, we think Everton will be outclassed at Goodison Park as Newcastle take the victory.

Aston Villa to beat Manchester United @ 2.23

Villa will go into this match beaming with confidence after a memorable win over Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

A late goal from super sub Jhon Duran secured a 1-0 triumph for Unai Emery’s men and the Colombian striker will certainly be licking his lips at the thought of facing United’s porous defence.

The Red Devils go into this one on the back of a 3-3 draw with FC Porto in the Europa League, a match in which they led 2-0. Erik ten Hag’s men have now conceded six goals in their last two games.

So, with an extra day of rest, we are backing Villa’s attacking stars to inflict more misery on United and push Ten Hag closer to the sack.

Leeds to beat Sunderland @ 2.12

Two sides that are no stranger to Premier League football will face off this weekend.

Sunderland are in great form, matching their pre-season expectations and sitting top of the Championship table. Tuesday’s 2-0 win over Derby was the ideal way to bounce back after suffering a defeat to Watford in their previous outing.

Leeds are steadily working their way up the table and as the favourites to go up, it is not really a surprise. Daniel Farke’s side have lost only one game but drew 1-1 with Norwich last time out. However, we still think they will be too strong for the Black Cats in what should be a Friday night cracker.

West Brom to beat Millwall @ 1.82

West Brom have enjoyed a bright start to the Championship season but lost their grip on top spot on Tuesday evening after suffering a 1-0 home defeat to Middlesbrough.

However, Millwall endured an even worse midweek adventure, losing 1-0 away at Cardiff, a result which has left them languishing near the relegation zone.

We expect them to be on the end of another defeat at the Hawthorns, especially with the form Josh Maja is in. The Baggies striker is the Championship’s top scorer with seven goals.

Gillingham to beat Crewe @ 2.67

Top-of-the-table Gillingham pay a visit to Crewe this weekend and the hosts will be raring to go after their midweek clash against AFC Wimbledon was postponed.

The Gills sit a point clear of promotion rivals Walsall and Notts County, although they go into this match on the back of a 1-0 home defeat to Grimsby.

But Crewe also suffered a 2-1 defeat to Newport County in their last League Two outing after winning four on the bounce, so we are backing Gillingham to come away with another crucial win. It should be a close contest, though.
