Spain to beat Denmark @ 1.38
*All odds are subject to change
The European champions take on a stubborn and resolute Denmark side who will want to pull off an upset.
Spain have gained four points from their previous two games against Serbia (0-0) and Switzerland (4-1), but will be without key players Dani Carvajal and Rodri due to injury.
Young stars Bryan Gil and Bryan Zaragoza, both 23, have received their first call ups and will be looking to cement their place in the team for the future. Spain fans and neutrals will also be looking forward to seeing sensations Nico Williams and Lamine Yamal put on a show.
But Denmark prove time and time again that they are not to be doubted and can be an obstacle for the best teams in the world. So if Spain are to take three points, they are going to have to work for it.
Portugal to beat Poland @ 1.65
Portugal boss Roberto Martinez has been widely criticised for the use of his extremely talented squad, one that was tipped as a Euro 2024 favourite but ended up crashing out of the competition in the quarter-finals.
Doubts were also raised around Cristiano Ronaldo’s role in the team and if his services should still be a priority for the young, evolving squad. But after two games in the Nations League, they sit on maximum points and will be aiming to keep momentum going in this week’s fixtures.
Their first opponent will be Robert Lewandowski’s Poland, who are more than capable of causing a few problems with their physical play style and dynamic attack. But on this occasion, we believe Portugal’s class will be too much to handle.
Hungary vs Netherlands: Both teams to score @ 1.68
Two sides with rich footballing histories and countless legendary players will battle it out for three crucial points. The Netherlands squad is undergoing a bit of an identity crisis, with injury and non-selection both prominent issues for manager Ronald Koeman.
With Frenkie De Jong still out and Koeman unwilling to select Steven Bergwijn due to a perceived lack of ambition following his transfer to the Saudi Pro League, it is important they do not let headlines get in the way of their goals on the pitch.
Nevertheless, the Netherlands still have an extremely strong team able to compete at the highest level and it is unlikely that Hungary will be able to prevent them from imposing their will on the game.
But the Dutch have not been convincing defensively of late, so it is probable that the talented Hungarian attack, spearheaded by Liverpool ace Dominik Szoboszlai, will be able to inflict some damage.
England to beat Greece @ 1.26
Interim manager Lee Carsley will be looking to improve his bid for a permanent role in charge of England this week. Carsley has been bold in his squad selection, as well as his play style, as he looks to bring the Three Lions into a new era.
With the calibre of players at his disposal, entertainment is a must. But with Greece the only other side in the group to be on full points, England may face a tougher battle than many anticipate.
The Three Lions will additionally be without Ezri Konsa and Morgan Gibbs-White, who sustained injuries in Premier League action last weekend. Captain Harry Kane is also a doubt, leaving Carsley with a bit of a selection headache.
However, we still back the hosts to get the job done against a resolute opponent in what should be an intriguing clash.
