US Grand Prix Preview

Max Verstappen is hoping to consolidate his lead at the top of the Drivers’ Championship with another podium finish this year in Austin. Impressively, Verstappen has won the last three US Grand Prix races, so adding a fourth will edge him closer to a fourth world title.

The most realistic opposition to Verstappen at this stage of the campaign is a British driver, although on this occasion it is not Lewis Hamilton. Instead, it is Lando Norris who, with 11 podiums and three wins so far this season, has proven to be Verstappen’s closest challenger.

It was Norris who finished second behind Verstappen in last year’s US Grand Prix, so it is fitting that these two will go head-to-head again, this time both with the World Championship crown in their sights. Similarly, Red Bull and McLaren are duking it out for the Constructors Championship title, with McLaren leading that particular race.

Though held at a few different venues, the most successful driver at the US Grand Prix is Hamilton, who has six race wins to his name. He was infamously disqualified from last year’s race for ‘excessively worn skid blocks’, after seemingly securing a third-place finish. It is unlikely Hamilton will win the race on this occasion, but you can never second guess the drama that F1 will bring.

US Grand Prix Betting Odds

*All odds are subject to change

Norris is actually the favourite to win the Grand Prix @ 2.00, while Verstappen is priced @ 5.50. Other contenders to win are Oscar Piastri @ 6.00 and Charles Leclerc – who is third in the Drivers’ Championship standings – priced at @ 7.50.

US Grand Prix Betting Tips

Winning Car – Red Bull @ 4.75

With Verstappen’s recent record in the US Grand Prix, 4.75 seems a great price for a Red Bull car to win the race, even if all realistic hopes fall on his shoulders alone.

Finish Top 3 – Lewis Hamilton @ 6.00

It has not been a great year for Hamilton but the seven-time world champion has the capacity to be the best driver in F1, so a podium finish at an event should never be discounted.

Both cars to finish Top 6 – Ferrari @ 1.60

You can expect another consistent showing from Ferrari, with drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz third and fifth respectively in the Drivers’ Championship leaderboard.
