Premier League Matchday 9 sees the return of a four-match Super Sunday due to midweek European matches and it is a day set to be packed with drama.
Chelsea host Newcastle in the early kick-off for television, which will be played at the same time as Crystal Palace vs Tottenham and West Ham vs Manchester United.
Then in the late kick-off, table-toppers Liverpool (well, table-toppers prior to the start of Matchday 9) make the trip to injury-depleted Arsenal as they look to move seven points ahead of the Gunners.
With so much Sunday action on the cards, we decided to ask NetBet ambassador Ray Parlour for his predictions.

Now on to Parlour’s Predictions…
Chelsea vs Newcastle | Parlour Predicts: 2-1
Ray says: “Chelsea can bounce back from their 2-1 defeat to Liverpool with a crucial home win this weekend. They played well last week at Anfield, but it is yet more proof that you cannot make mistakes in big games – or you will be punished!
“At home, Chelsea have been a little shaky as well, but the fire power the Blues have in the forward areas can help them grab all three points this weekend. It could be a long trip back up north for Eddie Howe and Newcastle!”
Crystal Palace vs Tottenham | Parlour Predicts: 0-2
Ray says: “Ange Postecoglou has his team playing well and scoring plenty of goals. The crazy defeat to Brighton clearly hurt them, but to bounce back with a big 4-1 win over rivals West Ham should have done confidence a lot of good, especially with captain Heung-Min Son back scoring. That is hugely important for Spurs as a unit.
“Palace are struggling to score or win in the Premier League this season, and it may be another difficult afternoon for them at Selhurst Park on Sunday. With Brennan Johnson also in good scoring form, Spurs can easily breach Palace’s defence on their way to another victory.”
West Ham vs Manchester United | Parlour Predicts: 1-1
Ray says: “West Ham put four past Ipswich and played really well in that game. Then they took the lead at Spurs but in the second half, Julen Lopetegui’s side did not play well at all, committing so many silly mistakes that are always going to be punished in the Premier League.
“West Ham will know they need a big performance in this match and of course, they can really compete with a United side who are not playing outstanding football as of yet. Even after a a 2-1 win over Brentford last weekend, Erik ten Hag’s side are not convincing everyone that steps are being taken in the right direction. So I can see a draw in this encounter at the London Stadium.”
Arsenal vs Liverpool | Parlour Predicts: 2-1
Ray says: “Maybe this is my heart ruling over my head, but this match is far more important for Arsenal than it is for Liverpool. Arsenal need to bounce back in the Premier League after defeat at Bournemouth.
“William Saliba being out due to suspension is a massive miss for Mikel Arteta, with Bukayo Saka and Riccardo Calafiori also potentially absent through injury. It is a tough one to call in truth, but Arsenal do have some strength to combat their injury crisis and although Liverpool have started well and will pose a massive threat, Arsenal can nick a 2-1 win.”
