Liverpool to beat Brighton @ 2.06

Liverpool boss Arne Slot will be keen to get his trophy count up and running, and a prime opportunity to do so is the Carabao Cup. After a tough draw with Arsenal last Sunday, the Reds are looking to get back to winning ways.

But fighting on multiple fronts with the Champions League, domestic cups and Premier League responsibilities, will it all be too much for the players? In addition to this, Brighton are in an excellent patch of form and are a hard game for any team in the country in their current shape. It is bound to be a thriller, although we are still backing Liverpool to progress.

Aston Villa to beat Crystal Palace @ 1.89

Following an excellent win over Tottenham Hotspur, Crystal Palace will be determined to build some more momentum. The Eagles now face a tough task against a strong Aston Villa side who will want to cap their other numerous achievements under Unai Emery with a trophy.

And due to their poor start to the season – aside from the win over Spurs – we think Palace’s priority will be league form, so Villa are our pick to go through to the quarter-finals.

Chelsea to beat Newcastle @ 2.57

A replay of last weekend’s Premier League fixture, in which Chelsea came out narrow 2-1 winners thanks to a winner from Cole Palmer (who else?).

As a this is a cup game, it is likely we will see some fringe and youth players play a major part in the fixture. And thanks to their stacked squad courtesy of numerous summer signings, Chelsea should have the depth necessary to come out on top at St James’ Park.

Manchester United vs Leicester: Both teams to score @ 1.79

The turmoil at Manchester United following the dismissal of manager Erik Ten Hag will no doubt play a part when Leicester visit Old Trafford. Under the leadership of interim boss and former player Ruud Van Nistelrooy, a positive display is needed from the Red Devils to try and quieten the noise surrounding the club.

But with Leicester’s improving form in the Premier League, this is shaping up to be a much more intriguing match than previously expected. And with the uncertainty surrounding our would-be favourites United, we are backing both teams to get on the scoresheet.
