Aston Villa vs Ipswich: Both teams to score @ 1.79
A match in which we could see a first Premier League start in Villa colours for Marcus Rashford! But what will be of more concern to Unai Emery is the state of his defence, with Axel Disasi set to be the only fit centre-back available to the manager. So this is a key reason for why we are opting for the BTTS market. Villa should win, but Liam Delap and the rest of Ipswich’s forward line must really fancy their chances of putting at least one past Emi Martinez. Delap has nine goals in 23 league appearances this season, with four of them coming away from Portman Road.
Manchester City vs Newcastle: Over 3.5 goals @ 2.01
A continually wounded City side will try to avoid another slip up at the Etihad after Tuesday’s 3-2 defeat to Real Madrid. Defensively, Pep Guardiola’s side are a mess right now and that is not ideal before coming up against arguably the league’s best striker on form in the prolific Alexander Isak. But City and Erling Haaland are still scoring goals too, so instead of trying to predict the outcome of this tricky fixture, we are backing a goal-fest in Manchester! Over 3.5 goals have been scored in nine of City’s last 10 matches across all competitions.
Nottingham Forest to beat Fulham @ 3.35
Despite being 3rd in the table, Forest travel to Fulham as underdogs for victory. Nuno Espirito Santo’s side beat Brighton 7-0 in their previous league fixture, although the manager will hope his troops did not exert too much energy in Tuesday’s penalty shootout victory over Exeter in the FA Cup. Forest boast the second-best away record in the Premier League with seven wins from 12, while Fulham rank 10th in the division’s home form table. So this could be a great selection to boost your weekend acca odds!
West Ham to beat Brentford @ 2.34
West Ham are showing signs of life under the tutelage of Graham Potter, with a top-half finish firmly in their sights. The Hammers lost 2-1 at Chelsea last Monday after going 1-0 ahead but appear to have found a higher level following the struggles of the short Julen Lopetegui era. Saturday’s match against Brentford at the London Stadium is a huge opportunity for them to remind the rest of the league of their quality, with January loan signing Evan Ferguson in line for a debut. And given that Brighton are currently 18th in the top-flight away form table, we are backing Potter’s side to make a big statement.
