We are back in the familiar setting of the international break.
But do not fear football fans – this is the final one of the 2024-25 season!
After the latest Nations League matches and 2026 World Cup qualifiers are out the way, focus will switch back to domestic action.
The business end of the Premier League campaign rarely disappoints, even though Liverpool appear to have already won the title race.
Arne Slot’s Reds are 12 points clear of Arsenal and need only five more wins to confirm a second triumph in five years.
But when it comes to the Premier League, there are always topics of discussion at any point in a season.
With that in mind, we decided to fire some questions at NetBet brand ambassador Ray Parlour to get his thoughts as we approach the climax of 2024-25.
Of course, we simply had to focus a bit on his former club Arsenal!
When it comes to the final matchdays of this Premier League season, NetBet is the place to be for all the best football odds and sports betting markets.

Do you still see Arsenal finishing 2nd behind Liverpool, or are you worried they could be caught by the teams below?
Ray: “Yes, Arsenal can finish 2nd behind Liverpool. The Gunners looked comfortable against Chelsea and now with a healthy lead over the chasing pack, they can look to secure 2nd place. With Gabriel Martinelli back now and hopefully Bukayo Saka to follow, this gives Arsenal extra strength in attack moving forward.”
Who do you think will join Liverpool in the Top 4 come the end of the season?
Ray: “Arsenal, Manchester City and Nottingham Forest!”
Do you see any chance of Tottenham or Manchester United finishing in the top half?
Ray: “I think both teams are still a little way off a top-half finish. With Fulham, Brentford and Bournemouth having a strong cushion of points ahead of them both, it is unlikely they can claw it back. Plus, both teams have Europa League matches after the international break, which could mean a continued drop off in Premier League results.”
Is the relegation battle already over, or could Wolves be dragged back into the fight during the run in?
Ray: “Relegation is already settled, the three promoted teams (Ipswich, Leicester and Southampton) will go back down to the Championship. The gap is too big and all three sides just cannot put any kind of form together to even get close to those above.”
Which teams have you enjoyed watching most this season, outside of the established big boys?
Ray: “Bournemouth and Brentford have been good to watch this season – and you can also add Fulham to that list. All three teams have a progressive style of play, quality players, and a very good coach.”
