The Premier League is on hold when club football returns after the final international break of the season.
Instead of 10 matches in England’s top flight, we will instead be treated to the FA Cup quarter-finals.
Seven Premier League teams remain in the competition, although Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, Newcastle and Tottenham have all been knocked out.
So it is over to Aston Villa, Bournemouth, Brighton, Crystal Palace, Fulham, Manchester City and Nottingham Forest, as well as Championship side Preston North End, to try and get their hands on the famous trophy.
We have run the rule over the four quarter-final ties and provided some football betting tips for your weekend sport bet.

Raul Jimenez to score for Fulham vs Crystal Palace @ 2.97
Fulham striker Jimenez enters this weekend’s action on the back of a magnificent international break. He scored all four of Mexico’s goals as they won the CONCACAF Nations League, with Jimenez securing a 2-1 victory over Panama in the final with a 92nd-minute penalty. Even though Palace have conceded only twice in the last four competitive matches, we are predicting the Mexican striker to light up Craven Cottage with his 13th club goal of the season. Seven of Jimenez’s 10 Premier League strikes this season were recorded on home soil.
Nottingham Forest to beat Brighton @ 4.33
We are still trying to work out why Brighton are such big favourites to win this contest. Yes, the Seagulls are in good form with five wins in the last six, but Forest are third in the Premier League and undoubtedly have the quality to win at the Amex. Lest we forget, the Tricky Trees thrashed Brighton 7-0 at the City Ground on February 1. The likely absence of talisman Chris Wood after an injury on international duty is a blow, but Nuno Espirito Santo can still call upon Taiwo Awoniyi to line up alongside Anthony Elanga, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Morgan Gibbs-White. Not a bad replacement, eh?
Marco Asensio to score for Aston Villa vs Preston @ 2.57
Asensio has been a revelation at Villa Park since joining Unai Emery’s side from Paris Saint-Germain in January. The Spanish forward has already scored seven times in claret and blue, including a brace in the 2-0 Fifth Round victory over Cardiff. Asensio appears to have a new lease of life in England and has forged a lethal partnership with fellow mid-season arrival Marcus Rashford. While Preston should put up a decent fight on home soil, we just cannot see a Championship-level defence keeping out one of the top flight’s in-form attackers.
Bournemouth to beat Manchester City @ 2.88
The final FA Cup quarter-final of the weekend is perhaps the best of the lot – on paper at least. This competition represents City’s last opportunity to win silverware in 2024-25, while Bournemouth are desperate to end their recent poor run and blow the tournament wide open by eliminating the strongest side. The Cherries needed penalties to beat Wolves in the Fifth Round and are winless in their last four Premier League matches. But City have only won two of the last six across all competitions and were beaten 2-1 on their visit to the Vitality last November. More South Coast woes for Pep Guardiola? We reckon so!
