UFC Vegas 105 takes place this weekend as the Octagon returns from its world tour to the Apex for another featherweight Fight Night in front of a studio audience
There is something about the big arenas that makes even weaker cards like last weekend appear more hyped up. But if you look across the field this weekend, you can see a lot of very interesting contests, and arguably a more intriguing set of match-ups to bet on than the last two weeks.
If you want to start with the main event, that is as good a spot as any. Josh Emmett dragged Ilia Topuria to the deepest waters he has experienced yet in the UFC and is coming back after almost two years following a major knockout of Bryce Mitchell. He takes on Lerone Murphy, the undefeated Brit who wants to solidify himself as a top contender in what is sure to be an exciting clash.
Then head down the card and look at the various different exciting fights. Kennedy Nzechukwu continues his move up to heavyweight in pursuit of another massive knockout against Martin Buday, who is off the back of a win over the legend Andrei Arlovski.
Perhaps the fight fans are most excited for sees the unbeaten Torrez Finney against TUF finalist Robert Valentin. The American needed three stoppages on Dana White’s Contender Series to book a spot in the big leagues, and was previously told that he would be ‘absolutely decimated’ in the UFC by the boss. It is time to find out!

UFC Vegas 105 Betting Preview and Best Bets
There are a number of major betting markets for this card, with NetBet opening up a huge number across the board. Let’s take a look at some of the matchups a bit more closely and notice some patterns that can make you big money.
The UFC is undeniably MMA’s big leagues, and there is no doubt that even an unbeaten phenom can be caught out at this level. There are two fighters with a zero to defend in Finney and Luis Gurule, both in very different kinds of matchups.
Gurule is a fairly sizable favourite to beat Ode Osbourne, who is on his last legs with the promotion. He is 4-6 under the UFC banner, including three losses and just a split decision over Charles Johnson between him and an 0-5 run. However, he is a UFC veteran with major wins under his belt, and we would back him on the moneyline at 21/10.
Finney has more than proven himself on Contender Series, and faces a much less-proven quantity in Valentin. Under 1.5 at 23/20 looks tantalizing, but we would say that betting the under of 2.5 rounds at 11/20 is basically free money.
Emmett is also a very live underdog at 12/5, and we like the look of betting om over 4.5 rounds at 1/2, given both men’s backgrounds.
Let’s take a brief look at the two monster underdogs of the night; Istela Nunes over Loma Lookboonmee at 26/5 and Diana Belbita at a whopping 6/1 over Dione Barbosa.
Nunes is 0-4 in the Octagon, but has been in a double-long training camp after visa issues cost her a fight with Molly McCann. That is a tough one to back, particularly against a woman on a three-fight Octagon winning streak.
However, Belbita at 6/1 is an interesting one. She is not the best the UFC has to offer, but the social media star is facing a woman who lost to Miranda Maverick last time out. This is a much closer matchup than the oddsmakers are admitting, and might be worth a big-time punt.
