Nottingham Forest to beat Everton @ 2.10
Champions League-chasing Forest suffered a blow last weekend as they lost 2-1 at Aston Villa. With injuries mounting and an FA Cup semi-final on the horizon, there are now some doubts surrounding Nuno Espirito Santo’s side. However, Forest have been superb at the City Ground all season and beat Manchester United 1-0 in their previous home outing. While Everton are excelling under David Moyes and drew 1-1 with Arsenal last weekend, we are tipping Forest to keep their European charge firmly on track.
Jean-Philippe Mateta to score for Crystal Palace vs Manchester City @ 3.21
Palace are on a superb run of form heading into a tricky fixture at the Etihad. The Eagles have won four of the last five in the Premier League, including last Saturday’s 2-1 victory over rivals Brighton. Mateta opened the scoring early on in that fixture, taking his season tally to 16 goals in all competitions. The Frenchman is widely regarded as one of the division’s top marksmen and against an injury-riddled City defence, we can see him hitting the back of the net once again.
Brighton to score over 3.5 goals vs Leicester @ 3.83
Unless you have been living under a rock, you will know full well that Leicester are in a spot of bother. In fact, things could not be going much worse for the Foxes and manager Ruud van Nistelrooy. Monday night’s 3-0 defeat to Newcastle saw them become the first team in English Football League history to lose eight home matches in a row without scoring. Furthermore, Leicester have conceded 70 goals in the top flight this season, so Brighton’s array of talented attackers should have a field day at the Amex. Oh and lest we forget, the Foxes have also conceded the most goals away from home (37) in the league. Yes, more than Southampton!
Fulham to beat Bournemouth @ 3.25
Last Sunday, Fulham became only the second team in the Premier League this season to beat leaders Liverpool. Marco Silva’s side won 3-2 at Craven Cottage after falling 1-0 behind, a welcome response to back-to-back defeats vs Palace and Arsenal. In contrast, Bournemouth’s confidence must be shot to pieces at the moment, with the Cherries losing their last three home matches. The previous outing at the Vitality saw relegation candidates Ipswich leave with a deserved 2-1 victory. A team of Fulham’s quality can certainly match or better that outcome on the Monday Night Football!
