UFC 314 Preview: Latest Odds & Best Bets

UFC 314 Preview

UFC 314 has arrived in Miami, and Dana White is giving us one of the most exciting fight cards in recent memory to celebrate the promotion’s return to Florida.

In the main event, we will see a new featherweight champion crowned after Ilia Topuria gave up the belt to pursue lightweight ambitions. Alexander Volkanovski is back in the mix, taking on surging contender Diego Lopes in an exciting clash of styles.

However, British viewers will all be keeping an eye on the co-main event as Paddy Pimblett returns to the Octagon against Michael Chandler. Conor McGregor has expressed his interest in this scrap, and he is one of many as ‘The Baddy’ takes on the toughest test of his career to date in former Bellator champion and UFC title challenger ‘Iron Mike’.

There are a host of other major names across the card, not least the controversial Bryce Mitchell against fan favorite; Fighting Nerd Jean Silva. Right underneath them is the UFC debut of Patricio ‘Pitbull’ Freire against Yair Rodriguez after a legendary career across the world outside of the fabled Octagon.

That is not to mention a star-studded prelim card that features the likes of Chase Hooper, Dan Ige, Julian Erosa and more. It is going to be stacked from start to finish, and fans are in for a lot of finishes.

NetBet is here to provide you with the best UFC odds for your MMA bet. And we have a great UFC 314 Offer on our website and app, which will see you rewarded with a £5 Free Bet when you place a £10 Acca Bet on UFC (two selections or more, minimum odds 1/2).

UFC 314 Betting Preview and Best Bets

There are all sorts of interesting markets heading into Saturday’s fight cards, and some clear ways to make money from the bookies.

First thing’s first, even though it is a massive 1/5, you’re going to want to bet the under on Michael Chandler and Paddy Pimblett. This fight is five rounds on the record books only, there is absolutely no chance this gets to the scorecards. It is essentially free money.

Now, for the bigger money markets.

Patricio Pitbull vs Yair Rodriguez is a fascinating match-up, and that 1/2 price for Rodriguez looks good. Pitbull is one of the greats, but there is a reason he is 8/5; just go watch his last fight with Jeremy Kennedy, who is far from a top five UFC fighter. His best days are behind him and it would be surprising to see him roll back the years here.

However, if you want to back an underdog, look no further than Bryce Mitchell. He is a whopping 9/5 against Jean Silva, but think about the relative CVs. Silva’s best win is Drew Dober and he is unproven at the very top of the UFC. Meanwhile, Bryce is battle tested with wins against the likes of Edson Barboza and Dan Ige.

Perhaps it is the moral choice to back the Brazilian, but the smart money is to quietly back Bryce and maybe hold off on celebrating publicly!

Another outsider worth a look is Jim Miller over Chase Hooper at a whopping 6/1. We are not saying he is going to win, and there is a reason the odds are so skewed in favour of the youngster. But this is MMA, one shot can change anything and any odds that wide deserve a look.
