Here at NetBet casino, we have games suitable for all of our players. These include slots, jackpots, and card/table games, among which blackjack online rules the landscape. The game of 21 comes in different shapes and sizes, with slightly altered rules. If you want to learn more about its different variants, read our guide and try them at NetBet Casino.
Classic Online Blackjack
The classic blackjack variant comes from nearly every provider that powers our lobby. Usually titled Blackjack or Classic Blackjack, it’s the standard variant of the game. It sets the rules for any other. The main rule of blackjack is to beat the dealer to a count of 21 without going over. Going over 21 automatically means going bust, which is a loss.
All players receive cards face up. The dealer’s two cards are different – one is face up, the other is face down. Depending on the variant, the dealer usually stands on a soft 17. Blackjack pays 3:2, while the Insurance bet always pays 2:1 in classic blackjack.
European Blackjack
European blackjack mostly follows the classic rules of the game. However, the dealer receives 1 card instead of 2 at the beginning of the game. Payouts are the same as in classic blackjack. Like the dealer, the player must stand on a count of 17, but the dealer hits on 16 or lower.
Multihand Blackjack
Multihand blackjack is a classic game of blackjack which allows you to play several hands at once. This will cost you an equal bet to the first one, but you can also win several hands against the dealer at the same time. This is particularly appealing to high rollers and seasoned blackjack players. Due to the fact you’re playing several hands at once, the game is not a fit for beginners.
Atlantic City Blackjack
If you come across Atlantic City Blackjack, it means you’re playing the variant available in most NJ casinos. It’s not that different from Vegas blackjack rules except in the number of decks in play. Most blackjack variants are played with 4 or 6 decks, while this one uses 8. This makes it harder to predict what the next card is, and as such, this variant is not attractive to card counters.
Blackjack Switch
Blackjack Switch is one of the newest variants and among the most popular ones. It allows players to switch cards between two hands. This means that each player is dealt two hands to begin with, and they’re allowed to switch the top games to improve their hands. Doubling down is also allowed on each hand. Another different rule in this variant is that a dealer’s 22 is a push instead of a bust.
Blackjack Perfect Pairs
Not all blackjack variants have side bets, but when they do, it’s Perfect Pairs. This is a classic variant with a side bet which costs extra. However, you can win money on it without winning against the dealer. The side bet is valid on the first two cards you receive, and your prediction is that they will be of the same value. If you have, for example, two 5s or two 10s, the payout is 6:1. Higher payouts are on offer for two cards of the same colour and value (12:1) or two cards of the same suit, value, and colour (25:1).
