England vs Greece Preview

This should be an interesting clash between a pair of sides with two wins from two in this edition of Nations League.

Of course, England are the huge favourites for victory, although Greece may prove to be a tougher test than some anticipate.

England are also a bit worse for wear defensively, with no recognised left-back in the squad and versatile Aston Villa ace Ezri Konsa dropping out after sustaining an injury.

However, while Greece may fancy their chances of an upset, the Three Lions’ attack should have far too much firepower.

Cole Palmer, Phil Foden and Jude Bellingham are all back in the fold after missing out last month.

And even though skipper Harry Kane is a doubt for Thursday, Carsley still has Ollie Watkins and Dominic Solanke to call upon to spearhead his forward line.

So a free-flowing performance from the Euro 2024 finalists could be on the cards, which would be a huge positive to add to the interim boss’ job application.

These two sides have not met since 2006. On that occasion, England won 4-0, with Peter Crouch bagging a brace.

Can the Three Lions win by an even bigger margin this time?

England vs Greece Odds

Unsurprisingly, England are huge favourites to win at odds of 1.27. Greece are priced at 12.00, while the draw is 5.50.

England vs Greece Betting Tips

Bukayo Saka to score anytime @ 3.20

Arsenal star Saka is in red-hot form right now after recording two assists and a goal in last weekend’s 3-1 win over Southampton. The tricky winger will be eager to extend his international tally when Greece visit.

England to score over 2.5 goals @ 2.40

With so many attacking stars at Carsley’s disposal, goals will be the order of the day. Greece may be able to frustrate the hosts, but expect them to wilt in the second half when fatigue and frustration hit.

Bet Builder: Bukayo Saka to score anytime, England to win and over 2.5 goals @ 4.10

And if you fancy Saka to score with over 2.5 goals in the match but want to boost your odds, this Bet Builder could be the way to go.
